Policy and general information on homeworks
-
Homeworks are due at the beginning of lecture on the due date
and must be handed in hard-copy.
A 20% penalty will be applied to the grade for all those
homeworks handed in up to 24 hours late.
Those handed in between 24 and 48 hours late, will undergo a 40% penalty. Thereafter,
all homeworks will be considered very late and get a zero grade.
Also: sorry we can't accept electronic submissions of homeworks.
Students requiring exceptions
should contact the instructor *before* the due-date.
-
All homeworks labs, and exams, must represent your own individual
effort. Mutual discussion of each individual's results in the
homeworks is OK, as long as the results themselves represent
individual efforts. Cheating cases will be dealt with in a very strict
manner. At a minimum, violators of this policy will fail the course
and will have their names recorded.
- Finally:
Solution keys for homeworks will occasionally, but not always, be posted.
Typically,
solutions of some (usually the hardest) questions of the homeworks
will be discussed in class. Solution keys
for the exams will be posted.
