Short description of course:

This is a course on elementary matrix methods. It is a replacement to the more general csci 2031 and it is being offered this semester for the 1st time [2031 is no longer offered]
The goal of this course is to teach you how the theory and methods of linear algebra answer many fundamental questions in Computer Science and Computer Engineering. It will show how the fundamentals of linear algebra are used -and how to develop basic computational algorithms, how to apply them to solve real-life problems, and how to study their complexity and computational cost. There will be illustrations from real applications throughout the course.
See the syllabus for details.
