12/14 The location of the final examination has been changed to a bigger classroom, Smith 100.
12/14 The final examination will cover topics connected to the following parts of the book and the corresponding accompanying lectures. Chapter 1, §2.1, §2.3, chapters 3, 4, 5, 7. It will be open book and notes, but no electronic devices.
11/24 The seventh assignment has been posted.
11/17 The sixth assignment has been posted.
11/17 Carl's office hours have changed to add Tuesdays at 4pm.
11/2 The fifth assignment has been posted.
10/20 The midterm examination will cover topics connected to the following sections of the book and the corresponding accompanying lectures. §1.1, §1.2, §1.3, §1.4, §2.1, §2.3. Note that the midterm will be held in the classroom in place of the usual lecture. It will be open book and notes, but no electronic devices.
